Alfred Man is a long time clinician in the healthcare field. He obtained his Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) qualifications in England. He has worked in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Montreal and Vancouver. He has worked as a registered nurse, head nurse, case manager, adult mental health clinician and older adult mental health clinician in both hospital and community settings.
Alfred is a strong believer in holistic and natural healthcare. As a young man, Alfred learned about herbal medicine and acupuncture from his uncle, who is a leading doctor in Chinese Medicine. After working as a clinician for many years, Alfred rediscovered his passion for Chinese Medicine. He went back to school and completed a 4 years program in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. He obtained his Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) and Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) qualifications from the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA).
His special interests are in cancer treatments and immune rebalance. He has worked along side associates such as Gerard Tan, a well respected acupuncturist for cancer treatment. Alfred treats clients with acupuncture as well as with refined herbal medicine for those who chose an alternative approach.
Alfred adopts an integrated approach in his treatments, and also focuses on the balance and harmony of the mind and body to restore health. His excellent listening and counselling skills, combined with 30 years of experience in Western clinical and Eastern medicine, enables him to provide a natural complementary perspective to enhancing your well-being.
