Naturopathic Doctor, Cancer Resident
Dr. Sarah Denotter, ND, MSc is a Naturopathic Doctor who is dedicated to providing an integrated approach to health and healing. With a deep commitment to empowering her patients, she combines both natural and conventional therapies to achieve balance and overall wellness.
Dr. Denotter completed a 2.5-year residency in naturopathic oncology at the Integrated Health Clinic, under the mentorship of Dr. Gurdev Parmar. In addition to clinical experience with Dr. Parmar, she has contributed to the development of the Advanced Integrative Oncology Palliative Care Course offered by the Integrative Oncology Institute. She has also presented four research posters at Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians conferences, that were focused on an integrative treatment approach to metastatic cancers. Dr. Denotter is actively pursuing certification as a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO).
Dr. Denotter attended naturopathic medical school at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon while concurrently earning her Master of Science in Nutrition. During her education, she participated in global health trips to Ghana, Guatemala, and Peru, and served as a research volunteer in the NICU at Oregon Health and Science University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario which included a semester abroad at Queen’s University of Belfast in Northern Ireland.
Besides assisting and guiding patients throughout their cancer journeys, Dr. Denotter has a strong focus in cancer prevention, recovery post-treatment, and ongoing surveillance. She also has an interest in digestive health, neurological conditions, and management chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Denotter teaches oncology at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and serves on the conference committee for the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, completing jigsaw puzzles and experimenting with new recipes.
